The company is planning to commence further exploration by mid 2019. The main focus will be on the completion of more than 100kms of Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) survey lines. Since the GPR is done on the ground itself, this survey is far more precise than any airborne surveys can be. The outcome is a good radar imaging of the sub-surface going up to 35 metres below the ground.
This new data will add onto earlier work done which first started in the 1960’s. Whilst earlier work has stated that the whole plateau area is laterised, conducting this GPR will enable the first detailed assessment on areas in the middle and northern areas of the plateau.
