The team is very pleased to confirm that our older JORC based on 2011 work has been re-assessed under the newer 2012 JORC standard. This has re-affirmed our JORC - based on the 162.5 million tonnes of ore assessed using a 0.6% Ni cut off with grading 0.94% nickel and 0.09% cobalt as:
Nickel - contained metal in tonnes – 1,528,300
Cobalt – contained metal in tonnes – 139,000
Further work is always required to better measure deposits but we do note that:
The limonite layers have weaker nickel grades usually below 1% but with strong iron(Fe) in the order of 45%. This material is likely to suit HPAL and RKF processors in particular.
Cobalt grades in the limonite layers are frequently 0.13%.
The saprolite layers have lower cobalt and iron but much stronger nickel grades including a significant quantity in the 1.2% to 1.7% range.
